The boning knife with a curved blade from F. HERDER is the knife for releasing meat from the bone. It is available in 12, 13 and 15.5 cm.
The blade is narrow and swept upwards. The curve follows the contour of joints and bones: the edge stays in contact as it works around them, where a straight blade would lift off at the same spot.
Three blade types are available. The stiff blade does not give way by a millimetre and takes the load when levering at a joint; the Classic blade is the standard for daily work; the flex blade gives way under pressure and hugs the bone closely, so less meat is left behind.
The plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean. Besides green, the 13 cm version comes in red and the 15.5 cm flex version in glitter green.
The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos. Made by F. HERDER in the tradition-rich knife city of Solingen. Made in Germany, with the standard of quality that has distinguished the brand since 1727.
