The boning knife with a straight blade from F. HERDER is available in 13 and 15.5 cm. The narrow blade runs straight and ends in a fine point.
Straight and curved boning knives solve the same task differently: the straight blade pierces in a controlled way and makes long, straight cuts along a bone, while the curved version follows curves.
The slim blade width keeps resistance low, so the knife can be pushed between meat and bone without tearing open the section.
13 cm is the agile length for tight spots, 15.5 cm reaches deeper into large pieces. The green plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean.
The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos. Made by F. HERDER in the tradition-rich knife city of Solingen. Made in Germany, with the standard of quality that has distinguished the brand since 1727.
