The eel knife from F. HERDER is a fish knife with a semicircular blade. The blade length is 5.5 cm.
The edge runs as a continuous arc with no point. The work is done with a rolling movement: only a short section of the curve is in contact at any time, so it separates with little effort.
The absence of a point is an advantage in this design – when skinning and cutting up the eel, nothing is pierced; the blade scrapes and separates instead. The short blade stays close to the hand while doing so.
The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos. The green plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean.
Made by F. HERDER in the tradition-rich knife city of Solingen. Made in Germany, with the standard of quality that has distinguished the brand since 1727.
