The fish knife from F. HERDER is a narrow knife with a straight, tapering blade. It is available in 18 and 21 cm, the 18 cm blade additionally as a flexible version.
The straight edge and the slim point are designed for working along the bones: pierce, follow the backbone and release the fillet in a single pull.
The flex blade gives way under pressure and hugs the contour – it follows curves and bones more closely, where the stiff blade simply pulls straight through. The stiff version is in turn the stronger choice for cutting through skin and firmer tissue.
The green plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean – matched to wet work on fish.
The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos. Made by F. HERDER in the tradition-rich knife city of Solingen. Made in Germany, with the standard of quality that has distinguished the brand since 1727.
