The herring gutting knife from F. HERDER is a short fish knife for gutting and cleaning herring and fish of a similar size. The blade is 6.5 cm long.

The short blade with its straight edge and angled tip is designed for a single movement: set the point, open the throat and slit the belly in one pull.

The short blade length is an advantage here – it limits how deep the blade goes in and keeps the innards intact. For workplaces where consistent, repeated movements matter, the knife is kept correspondingly slim.

The blade carries the engraving Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn, the marking SOLINGEN GERMANY STAINLESS, the spade symbol with the lettering PIKAS as well as the series lettering Don Carlos. The green plastic handle is insensitive to moisture and easy to clean.

Made by F. HERDER in the tradition-rich knife city of Solingen. Made in Germany, with the standard of quality that has distinguished the brand since 1727.
